Grade VIII Students Explore Yeast Fermentation!
Our budding scientists conducted an exciting experiment to observe yeast fermentation. By mixing yeast with sugar and water at various temperatures, they discovered that:
• At room temperature, the balloon inflated due to CO₂ production—demonstrating active fermentation.
• At extreme temperatures, fermentation ceased, highlighting the importance of optimal conditions.
This hands-on activity not only deepened their understanding of biological processes but also honed their scientific inquiry skills. It aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) and National Curriculum Framework (NCF) guidelines, promoting experiential learning and critical thinking.
