Making Division Fun for Grade III

To make learning division meaningful and exciting, our Grade 3 students participated in two engaging activities.

In the “Fair Share” activity, children learned to divide objects equally among groups using everyday items like pencils, plates, earbuds, and ice-cream sticks. Working in small teams, they discovered that division is simply about fair sharing. This hands-on experience made the concept of equal groups come alive in a playful way.

The “Hop & Conquer” activity combined movement with quick mental division. Students picked chits with division problems, solved them instantly, and hopped across a hopscotch grid to the correct answer. This energetic twist not only boosted their division skills but also made the learning process joyful.

Both activities encouraged teamwork, logical thinking, and quick recall — turning math into a fun-filled adventure!
